One&Only the Palm

My experience at the Guerlain Spa in The Palm, Dubai's One and Only Hotel was truly wonderful. I found myself thoroughly enjoying every aspect of my visit. Inside the spa, I was greeted by a serene ambiance, tasteful decor, and a delightful, soothing scent that set the mood perfectly. The staff's professionalism was matched by their warmth and hospitality, making me feel like an esteemed guest rather than just a customer. The spa treatments were of exceptional quality, and I emerged from the facial session feeling completely rejuvenated and utterly relaxed. The one minor drawback was its rather remote location at the far end of The Palm. However, this remoteness, in a way, contributed to its unique charm. It provided a sense of isolation and tranquility that I found quite appealing, far removed from the hustle and bustle of the city. I wholeheartedly recommend this spa to anyone seeking a high-end and indulgent experience. It truly was a memorable and calming escape.

I booked a session at the Guerlian spa for my friend and I today. I was really excited as it was my first time and the sanctuary it appeared to be on the outside was appealing. Unfortunately we were both disappointed with the level of miss communication from the staff. We got there early to use the facilities before our treatment, and when we were asked to take a seat, we were waiting for 15 to 20min then told we were being taken straight to our treatment. After explaining we wanted to use the facilities and preferably before our body treatment, not after, they shifted our treatment. We used the facilities, packed our things away and after 20min, told we would need to pack up our things again as the facilities would become mens facilities soon. I found this level of disruption very frustrating and quite the opposite if what a relaxing treatment should entail. While the treatment itself was fine, the overall experience was nowhere on par with Spa at Atlantis the Palm.

We love this Paradis. We stayed at the One and Only in Cape Town which is what brought us to this one in Dubai. We were not disappointed. They have superseded are already high expectations. We can not think this stuff enough for taking great care of us and making us feel special and loved. Many thanks to the dozens of staff workers we have gotten to know this week. Here is only one example of how they went out of their way. Well I was at the bar I made a comment about their dates. Bartender told me they came from Saudi and sweeter than others. By the time I got back to my room I had four of them on my coffee table. Wow, that's special. Thanks Stephen and one who left us our sweet surprise

A solid three star possibly 4 star hotel. Bonus points for being centrally located, on the beach and genuine efforts by towards customer service. It missed the mark in attention to details: not following instructions and arranging incorrect transports, delivering luke warm drinks via room service and hooks falling off the wall in the room that required an “engineering team”. Well kept beach and gardens. Quite. No nightlife. It might be a do over and recommended but given the price and competition for luxury hotels in this city it might be an idea to try somewhere else.
